01 Flood everywhere in the India. You do complain, you do questions about the things whether your movement was right. That is why the Canadian housing market is crashed at this point. The biggest thing I am noticing in my life after moving because between age of 16 to 25 guys are not getting any jobs for a million billion dollar house $100,000 is just goes away in the transaction. If you talk about stability in Canada, that's completely nonsense.
53 Hello everyone, welcome back to another episode of DIY return. Today I am really excited to have our guest Santosh with us today. We actually talked to Santosh about an year back where he talked about his journey of moving from Canada to India and the planning that he has done and so on. And interestingly he has talked about several points during the conversations which was not so common knowledge like you know when we talked about housing medical crisis you know the kids schooling there are so many important topics that he has touched in the first episode please check it out we will have a link for that in the description there's a lot of valuable information but I wanted to talk to Santosh again to understand how his journey has been in the last one year and also some of the conversations that he is having with people who are thinking about moving to India so that he can add some additional insights as well as some of the important points
54 That he talked about which is now a common knowledge like how he was able to see that and what are the things that he you know expect from now and that could help some insights to people who are living in Canada. So with that I really excited to have you back on our show and looking forward to our discussion Santosh and thanks for having being with us today. >> Hey thanks thanks Aas it's always great talking to you man it's good to see you again. >> Yes thank you. So I know it's been an
26 Year since we talked. is there anything you know that changed any big milestones? How has the life been in India since we last spoke? See life is life is great. I wouldn't complain. See as a human nature we have always complained somewhere. Okay. when we stuck in driving in a in a road like Bangalore or in a Delhi or somewhere right when you see the broken roads in Gura when you see the flood everywhere in the India you do complain you do questions about the things whether your movement was right or not. Okay. But when you feel yourself relaxed, giving you an example, right? Like when I was in Canada, most most of guys can relate to this like when I was in Canada like other people's, the one thing was common is the bill, right? Either it is the housing mortgage bill, either it is the electricity bill,

28 Either it is the gas bill, water bill, right? property tax, the maintenance of the house, like so on, so on, so on, right? The car lease or you financing those bills, right? You always think about just the bills, okay? You you don't get a thought about doing something else. Okay? Because you're so much into the the we know that, right? Canada is a debt country. you buy you want to get something you have to take a loan from the from the bank on a good interest rate and then that's how you start your life okay that is how the Canada or US has been built on the those basis India it doesn't work that way like I know like these days it is still common because people started taking the loans right but still you can't get the loans on that amount of money what you can get it in Canada >> okay so That is that is the one thing
28 Which in India people try to save the things before they enter into something they want to buy a car they will say like buy like let's let's take a save like 10 lakh rupees and then buy a car if you want to buy for 20 lakh in Canada it doesn't work like that oh you want to buy for a 20 lakh rupees car then they straightforward go to the in the dealer they will check your credit history if credit history is good even you put $1,000 you'll be able to achieve the things Right. So that is the one pain point I think most of the guys is feeling currently which is about the financial stress in Canada. Okay. And we will come on that back like how was able to identify these things five year back. I knew that this is coming. Okay. I knew that medical is going to come. I knew that like even if you look at our last conversation right these points was highlighted. We wanted to talk about the housing.
23 >> Okay. But we didn't connect it at that point of time. So many people wanted to ask about that point, right? What is the view about the housing? Now we don't want to talk about that housing because most of the people everyone already know this. >> Yeah. >> Right. So it's like a we wanted to talk at that point of time. We wanted to talk it was before the crisis. Now already everyone is crisis and you know that when crisis happens then everyone knows that same happens in 2008 in the global financial crisis during the US right so this is this is the common thing so I don't think we can we even if you talk about the housing frauds and mortgage frauds what was happening in the system most of the people by this time know that because someone from their society someone from their relative by this time already in stress >> okay and they know that like what is going on and that is why the Canadian housing market is crashed at this point.
19 Okay. So that's the one difference between India and Canada. >> Okay. Sure. >> In India you are somehow less depth right? What you have in Canada everything is on de >> okay and initially we don't realize that like either to talk about me about my friends anyone right we didn't realize that like how this depth is going to impact on our health. Okay. But when slowly slowly bills start pile up when the things goes wrong side right then you understand like oh now I made a blunder what how should I fix it right and that is the biggest thing I am noticing in my life after moving because I don't look at my bills anymore man yeah I'm not living that luxurious life okay true okay maybe I'm living in twobedroom threebedroom apartment I'm not going to disclose that but of course I had like 4,000 ft² house. I had like a big backyard. I had like a theater room inside of the house, right? Like
20 Everything but I don't have that luxury here now. But even though after staying in that house I was happy. The question backs remain like that's what you should anyone should ask right? >> You are you happy in that house? Are you happy while watching the movie in that theater? And the question is yes that three hour you'll be but the moment you come out from that you start again thinking oh I have the electricity bill for $400 which I have to pay right and your salaries was not growing if if you
50 Look at our last video like I did talk about that like how the Canada not growing as a country okay they are dependent on us right completely and that was highlighted long back right they are not doing anything in infrastructure they were not doing anything on oil things like if people go and read like like listen that video they will realize that I was talking about these points and look at look at the today Trump came and he first thing he Canada sorry for my language in in in the oil okay he told I don't need your oil I don't need your manufacturing I don't need your auto section okay and that is where the Canada unemployment is like youth unemployment is like 15 16% I don't know how much it is and that's all the fake numbers man all the fake numbers even if they're saying it is 20% youth employment is I'm saying it's a 50%. Like talk to anyone I know like 50 plus students guys like they are not getting jobs in Canada. Okay. And the reason behind this because they never invested on anything, right? They always
51 Thought oh our military will be taken care by the US. Our oil will be go to the US. They will refine and send it back to me. send it back to Canada and and that's where so on so on right like we did already talk about these topics. So that's the one thing I feel less debt free. Okay. I did made some money in Canada. So those are paying me interest in Canada. We can talk in India. We can talk about that like how people can move about this like so many people's I have helped and and you know what the funny part is when five year back I was analyzing about things right like I was sitting in a campground. people who is in Ontario they know that I I used to do a lot of camping with my wife right so I was I was sitting in a campground with my wife with my couple of friends like not like six seven friends and we was talking about everyone was talking about oh Canada is welcoming country multiculture it's it's always been like this from 70s or 80s and it will be never
52 Immigration can be never cause a problem in Canada we have washed of land we have this is called land of opportunity blah blah blah okay and at that point of time at five year back I was able to figure it out this country is not making a real progress okay the way this country is moving and and I used to laugh like even in last video I told you right the country's economy is 45% GDP is on a housing that's itself is a complete BS okay because you can like look at this way right like I say that Indian whole economy is sitting on 40% of GDP of India which is like 5 trillion or something 2.5 trillion comes from the housing don't you going to laugh about that like what else you guys are doing >> you you guys are not progressing on anything and and your neighbor right like us itself is your neighbor and how much their economy is dependent on housing which has like 34 trillion 35 trillion it's not even six 7% of the
52 Housing market so that you guys didn't learn anything okay and that is what the problem we are facing right so back in that five year back I was telling the guys like this kind of immigration is not sustainable in this country okay man you won't believe this people can agree with this right like at that point of time if you wanted to book a flight going back three year right you will be getting flight around like 2300 to 2500 up and down okay and you know why because at that time three year back the mass student from Punjab, Gujarat, right? They was going like a bulk. >> Bulk, right? >> Demand is there now. The demand is no longer.
38 >> Yeah. No demand is there, right? Like so there are demands people are like regular people are going but it's not like over booked at that point of time people even afraid to travel during this session time like there is a session I I don't know I think there's a three session right where a student comes and go in the college. I think it was fall, winter and summer I think something like that. It was in specific months like January, September and I believe May or June I I don't remember exactly but people afraid to travel at that time. People saying like man damn flights are like $3,000 $4,000 and now the same tickets is like $1,200 $1,300. And the reason because they actually started working on the things which they already damaged it which was the mass image. They like a youth unemployment is where 25% to 30% where between age of 16 to 25 guys are not getting any jobs.
34 >> You might be saw the videos like people thousands of people lining up for a restaurant job like being a waiter right. What a country achieved doing this with the mass immigration. nothing and at that time people was laughing and I was like okay until things doesn't break people doesn't realize now everyone talks about same thing man how you was able to see that future and I was like guys I was able to see that because when I go to the hospital I was knew that even the current system we have already 5 hour to 10 hour wait and the way immigrations are coming when I go to airport when I talk to people's when I see the comments in the in everywhere in the social media right like people was coming like in a bulk and it no fear and this is what the Warren Buffet always say when there is no fear in the market right either it is a stock market either it is anything else right that's the time when you have to exit and if that is what the Canada did three year back Canada wouldn't be this bad okay even I told them man I
35 Told those guys they are not here but they can justify this I told them like this will bring down the Trudeau government so badly because they not doing anything. There's no infrastructure and I used to take the examples right like the city I used to live I used to tell people like the last time they built this hospital in 1950 that time population was 20,000 today the city's population around 180,000 and still we have the same hospital >> right so where did we and they was talking oh we are planning to build another one in in the 10 km of distance but they They are planning to build it since 2018 and they haven't even started like today and I don't think they're going to start it in another 10 years because they don't have money. They are spending the money on the on the refugees. Okay. They're spending money on the illegal immigrants, people who is just filing asylums like so the system was broken at that time. People was not
36 Realizing, people was laughing at that time and that is how I was able to identify with the chain like where no growth in the country right the mass immigration was already flooding at that point of time it was not even flooded I would say it was started at that time okay medical I was already seeing it's broking up right like people used to tell me like 10 12 year back if you call ambulance it will be here for five minute right and they will be able to treat you after 911 call they will able to treat you like in 10 minutes but today you can call man ambulance is coming in hour like to I don't know if you know about that there is a girl Sabita yada or someone recently there is a big news about the her medical things like they tested four time and they didn't able to identify she went on airport and collapsed and died there like I I don't remember exact name but it is Sabita Yadu or something and they wasn't able to even identify She was having a tumor on her brain. Like four
37 Times she got into 911 call, emergency call and they wasn't able to identify. >> Right. Like so think about that how bad the system has been gone where you guys can't even identify a t tumor on their brain. That is the best right and you know what what is the main reason behind this mass immigration. Exactly. Mass inclusion. Right. They flooded housing market as well with the saying like the oh housing market is never going to be down. Now most of the people who bought in 2022 in 2021 they're having actually the literally a heart attack every day because they are not able to pay their bills they can't exit and when we made the last video right people was laughing even at that time like this is a stupid decisions okay and since then till today I can show you my Facebook ad 50 plus people's at least connected me they talk about like how to take this decision And almost 20 to 30 people just by my alone
37 Advice has been already moved and happily enjoying things. Okay. >> You see that there was like re-immigrants India there are groups was also created which was not there earlier. Okay. Now people is like in mass level talking about every day they're like if you scroll it like how people are moving back right how to move the steps from Canada how to move stuffs from Australia like across the board but Canada is like if you talk about in G7 countries Canada is one of those okay >> so that's how I was able to figure it out the things right in the going forward because it was breaking already people was not seeing it and I was able to identify and I was seeing that what is coming in Yeah, that's you know definitely amazing. I think you know the two key points I think that you conveyed was you know over leverage is not at all good in any any place like wherever you are like you know taking loans or leveraging it just for purchasing something is one aspect because that can bite you off like from a financial stability and
39 You know the stress and then the second one is kind of looking at this immigration and how it can break the systems I think you know able to see through it and understand it and then make a decision. So continuing the
53 Discussion I want to touch on few things that you kind of mentioned. So you mentioned kind of starting off with the bills right you know the bills in Canada which is not something that you're looking here in India. So let's talk from a financial planning. You know if they have funds in Canada, if they have assets in Canada and who are thinking about moving because now moving is little bit on the top of their mind. How should they plan on a financial perspective when they are moving to India from especially when they're moving from Canada? >> That's a great that's a great question. Okay. So there could be I will categorize it in two or three part. Okay. So there could be a two or three based on my conversations with people. see there would be one person who already has some liquid like money in their house. Okay. and there will be some guys who's underwater who already bought in the peak and they can't sell in.
51 >> Yes. Right. So so giving in theoretically number right. Suppose someone bought a house for $1 million. He put it 20% down which is 200,000 okay and they bought it in somewhere 2018 2017 or somewhere somewhere at those point and today that market value is for 1.4 4 million 1.5 million. Okay, that means they have the around 400,000 extra money from there where they bought plus the 200,000 they put it as a down payment plus they might be reduced 100,000 by this time their mortgage amount right so they have like 600 700k >> money which is sitting in the house yes >> okay that's the one point we will talk about that later okay how to move funds and that's the one scenario second scenario is someone is bought it for Same price for hundred million dollar they put it 200,000 but the house is currently selling for 800,000 okay and this is where the realators and other guys they didn't tell you like what
52 Happens if house goes 200,000 right banks everyone told you that when 200,000 goes down that's fine that is the it's not going to be like it will be recovered very fast but the problem is if that person wants to sell today in Canada when you do the housing transaction $100,000 for a million million dollar house $100,000 is just goes away in the transaction okay and I can give you those numbers easily million dollar house 32,000 to 35,000 land transfer tax which is the moment you buy you pay it to government wiped out done around based on your variable or fixed mortgage 15 to $50,000 is around for you breaking the mortgage if you want to break it. Okay, so that's another money which is gone. Banks just going to take it and 50,000 for your real estate fees. Okay, so I'm not going with more numbers but what I'm talking about 100,000.
52 >> So even if your house is 800,000 today no one told you these things. This is what the topic we wanted to talk about like years back. I wanted to explain people like how the mortgage and other frauds is working. Why no one is telling you by this time everyone knows that so I don't want to cover that more but based on the scenario that guy if he wants to sell even today and say like oh I want to exit with this house okay he can't because the bank will not release that house to other person until he come up with another 100,000 which he's going to pay to the bank for those all extra money and then only the lawyer is going to release the house to the second person so he lost plus 200,000 there plus 100,000 here in order to exit that. >> Yes.
38 >> Okay. So that's the that's the third the second scenario. Third one is someone might be bought it for 900,000 right and the house value is around a million dollar. He will be a break even situation. Okay. He'll sell it for a million today. He will just break even. If he has put it some mortgage payment in that like that payment will be get covered. whatever he get like 50,000 100,000 okay so those three scenario is there now about the first scenario guy if they wants to move it okay that's depends on what kind of investor you are okay like people like me who as I told right I wanted to move to India and go through with my life and fix my life okay like I I I started reading about who am right about the Maharashi Ramad I want I started reading about Bhagat Gita I didn't have time for these things I started reading
39 About the yogaandanda paramhand's autobiography of yogi right I got these times because I I stopped my looking my bills okay as I told I'm not living luxury life but I stopped looking my bills and I'm happy okay I'm happy with mentally okay so that is where the investing as well comes right like what you want you want to invest in a in a aggressive mode like oh I want to 20% 25% 50% about that 600 700k on first scenario I'm talking about right that guy if he they wants to move or you can split it okay example if you have 3CR right if you're moving with 3CR amount trust me if you're moving with 3CR amount you're not person you are not like a guy who wants to just like enjoy the whole world travel or something kind every month still you can live a great life great life okay and I
40 I'll come back on the expenses as well how the India is it is expensive I wouldn't say India is cheap okay but it still can be managed with that money okay so you can transfer your amount with rem okay there is a great rates you can transfer with okay people does talk about like how the CAD and INR depreciation works as well. Those are the BS. I can maybe talk about that in an hour but like that doesn't work in the theoretically it's not like that. Okay. Yeah. >> Because I I want to touch it. I want to touch this topic a little bit. Might be a distract with this one but bring me back here if I want. People make this case oh I have a money in Canada why should I move it to India because CAD is always appreciating and India is depreci. No, that's not true. You're getting 3% in GIC in Canada, guys.
32 You're getting 8% in India. >> Now do the math. Now do the math. And don't talk about depreciation. Canada CAD was trading $63 for a rupees back in 2009 or something and still trading at the same amount. Okay. So even though if depreciation I I ran that number if in next 10 20 year if Canadian dollar becomes 73 right and your Indian rupees like one one Canadian dollar become 73 rupees is still with the 8% of yield what you are getting in India on the FD you will be still making a lot more money what you are making in Canada >> sure >> so do that number don't go on the and today we have the chat GPT we have the AI things go and ask your questions like this is what I'm putting this is what I'm thinking like of course you can't tell me like oh 62 will be become 122 >> that's like you're talking about like India India is going to be broken okay another British year or another Mughal
32 Sam is going to be taken over the India rupees will be go in the gutter like that that's a BS case and if that happens I don't know about anything maybe my my all the money will be sitting in the Indian bank they will be take care they will be kicked me out okay I'm not I don't know anything about that. I'm talking about the general situation. >> Okay. Even if it is 73 which is 15% growth from today's Canadian dollar to Indian. Do the math >> and then put the 3% in the GIC or you want to 8% here >> and do the Eids and I'm not saying put everything in the FD. >> You split it. Put maybe one or two CR which you need every month money. Right. Two CR you can put it in your FD. another once here take it out and put it in the your stock market your mutual fund your SIP and go and slowly slowly slowly right and you can travel trust me you can travel as long as you want you can travel on that money you are not going to sit ideal right like is is someone is telling me that oh I am going
33 To sit ideal after having this threeCR this is not your advice man this is not advice for you okay trust me I'm not talking about someone who just want to just sit sit ideal and then do because rupees will be also depreciate slowly slowly right >> you I I am hoping this advice is for someone who still wants to work in India >> okay and the people who came to for for a advice to me they all was wanted to work right people a lot of people got a job okay so going back to the first scenario right like that's the you can split your money okay remittly is a great way to transfer okay there are some guys who used to need the money earlier because they was buying a house and all I think that market is closed now right so you used to get some extra rupees as well like if you do this hala kind of things but I it's closed anymore remittly is a great way to do it put your money in FD >> that's the first scenario and the second option is of course put it in your stock
34 Market you'll be able to live not a levies life but a good respectful life and that we can cover how you can live a good respectful life on a two two lakh of rupees monthly in India that will be great okay the second guy who was having a 300,000 loss these guys can't do anything man at this point of time you sit and pray with the god okay depends where you are what is your health condition okay if you thinks I'm broken already I can't take any more days single hand over your key and run you don't have to pay 100,000 okay if you're thinking you want to leave the country. Okay. And this is not something new. It happens in Ireland in past. It happens in China recently, right? The biggest the biggest real estate company got collapsed, right? In China.
25 This happens in 2008 in the US house housing market, right? Like people just throw out the key outside. Bank cames and collected and bank didn't know what to do. Okay. Will that happens in Canada in future? I don't know. Okay. how how worse the housing crash will be? I don't know. But I still believe this is just a beginning. Okay. If my all prediction was right in the past, I think my still this prediction will be right. This is not the end of and I have a huge theory for that. Okay. I can talk about that as well maybe in the next video. this will become a large one. But I can talk about that like why this is just a beginning. Why this is not the end. Okay. So for the second scenario guy like simple as it is man either you just >> Yeah. come up with 100,000. You want to still stay in Canada. you have a stable job but you can't manage your mortgage. Okay, you think it won't be manageable in next couple of years or three years. No point to be wasting your health in this. Hand over your key if
26 You want to run out of country. You want to extend country, come up with 100,000 close it or the best advice is if you can bypass this time three, four, five year whatever it is just bypass it. Okay? If you tell me that oh that 200,000 what you are in loss today will be recovered within a day. >> No >> I don't believe in that. Yeah. Okay. It's not going to happen. Okay guys. So if someone some real estate is giving you the hope >> no that's don't don't don't do that. Okay. >> And the third person is of course they are in the break even situation. They're in both win-win situation. If you have a good money you get a good job in in India right just move. Okay. If you think you just want to stay and bypass this house and see whether it will be increased or decrease whatever no one knows the future.
15 >> Then you can still pass the time. Look at that what is your personal situation is right about your health, about your finance, how you going to survive sitting in India and you can pass the time accordingly. Right? People still can make your argument a like oh why should we move? Trust me man, I have like 30 40 people. I know. Even 4 days before a lady called me and she told like I need help. I want to talk to you about something. She used to have a fortuner in India. Okay. 40 lakh husband 37 lakh the the lady. Okay. And now they are in a situation where they wants to desperately move. Desperately move.
00 Okay. But they can't because they are not getting a job in India on that pay scale what they're looking his husband is can secure easily like 30 or the lady can also secure like 25 something but their mind is not ready to accept because there was she was telling me like I used to have a fortuner and since I came I'm struggling here from last two year I didn't know why I took that decision to be coming in Canada no one told me that everyone told me like same like everyone told to the Gujarat and Punjabi student like country is very green. Okay. The moment you land, this 10 white girl will be standing to welcome you. Right. Trudeau will be coming you with the$100 $200,000. This is the land. Start building your mention here, right? This is your Ferrari. Just just roam here in the like a Batsa or or whatever the Punjabi singer, right? Start roaming in the Toronto downtown. All these buildings you see in the in the in the videos, it's all yours. Okay? The moment you land this this country is
00 Your that's what people was told right people didn't told about the reality now everyone's got hit even the numbers are like for students what Canada will reduce the numbers even students is not ready to go these days man they're saying like what we going to do there right like they are seeing the social media they even the Punjab's radio the broadcast what they make they are all making like how unemployment is is rising in Canada how the the white people is started to become racism towards the Indian people's right and believe me when a one mass society comes at one place people start hating it >> even we as an Indian we was hating everyone in Canada man was like when we used to come here like in back in 2016 2017 people are like we only see white peoples right like the culture multi diversity now you go anywhere it's all just us just us right so we started hating like why why this much immigration Right? And why not the the
00 White people will hate. So racism is also started. So yeah, that's that's the advice like how you can move your finance right with the three scenario. Three peoples, right? Rest they can ask in the comments. maybe we can you can reply on that. Sure. You can pass it to me if someone needed we can talk about that. >> Makes sense. No. switching gears a
22 Little bit. so I know it's been couple of years for you who living in India. Have you encountered any new challenges living in India that you didn't anticipate earlier? and like how did you handle that? >> Cost of living is for sure man. >> Is very high in India as well. Okay. You need a stable job but compared to if you if you talk about stability in Canada that's completely nonsense. In Canada, we have no stability on job. No stability. If you lose a job today, I can tell you apply 5,000 applications, you get hardly one application selected. >> It's that bad because and those things we already covered in past like only how the five bank is controlling the things in Canada, right? Like how the monopolies everything is there, right?
12 So those things we have already touched in the last one. We don't want to touch again. But apart from cost of living is is it high? I would not say that it is not high but still man based on your lifestyle >> you will not feel the pain because grocery cross is same for Amani as well like until Aman is drinking like water of like like a five five lakh rupees a liter water that's a different story okay I'm talking about general aquagard the filtered water okay if you drink that after making two lakh or if you're making one lakh and you're drinking that it's going to be the same cost Yeah, >> the the flood the flood on the road even the people who staying in Gula for 100 crores rupees flat they are feeling the same with their Ferrari we will be feel the same with our mari okay so that's there you can't fix those problems okay if you go anywhere you see the the garbage sitting around right that's the
13 Biggest challenge the one thing I always feel like if you travel in the train or bus like when you have to throw something out like just throw something out. I feel very bad right like I feel literally bad like even if you go on the air conditioning buses right that's thing we miss like there even we used to have polyaxs right even in the go and all so just take it whatever you're eating just put it in that and here people even moonfali >> like makka the chips packets like anything and trust me like some people wants to change it but we don't have an option like initially when we when we was struggling with these things Right? We used to keep it in our pockets for like kilometers and kilome and then we started realizing there is no dust means like it's very hard to put it in somewhere. So those things of course we face okay >> financially I did plan things better man okay so I don't feel alone okay >> now that's where the cost of living will come in the picture right a general cost
14 I'm giving you >> if you want to talk about the how the financial things can like difference between staying in India and Canada right this is the things suppose someone is making one lakh rupees I'm not going to go in the very large if you can't make even staying moving back from Canada to in India one lakh then god helps you man I don't I don't know what to do okay those are the students who has been already studying it's not for them okay they can't make one lakh because they are fresher there as well they are fresher here as well it's it's very hard for them right >> but the people who can make even one lakh okay the simple things is there buy a car for 10 lakh rupees which will become around EMI for 20,000 okay 20,000 is gone from one lakh okay I'm talking about one lakh after taxes Okay.
01 Your grocery you can eat as as I told right like you can eat as much as you want. The ashwad ata is same for the millennia as well. Ashwadata is same for you as well for 400 rupees. Okay. It used to be 370 or 350 back in in like 2016 2017. Now it's like 100 rupees extra. Okay. You don't feel much on that. rice same basmati rice normal basmati you can eat it like billion can eat it a one lakh rupees guys can eat it okay so the grocery cost will be not more than 20,000 you do whatever you want to do with the fruits milk I'm talking about like everything okay until and unless you're expensing very high >> okay that's a 40,000 you can rent on a good apartment for 30,000 of course there is apartments which has 8 lakh rupees also monthly there are apartments which has a 5,000 rupees also 10,000 000 also monthly in the NOA and other sectors. Okay, depends where you want to stay. But a decent place for two bedroomedroom 3bedroom apartments is
04 30,000 is great amount. Okay, so that's like your 14,000 plus 30,000 is 15,000. Okay, your car is covered, your house is covered, your groceries covered. Now people talks about the schoolings of kids and all man that's where your point is like I was fighting with one of my bhabi. It's a very good relation. Okay, they want to move to UAE. They have like six houses in Canada. they are multi-millionar. Okay. the husbands make like $200 hour in contracting. They want to move to UAE because they are in nuclear. They want to move to UA. And she was telling me that if I move to India, I have to pay at least one lakh rupees for my kids fees every month. And I was telling like why? She was saying, oh, they will be going IB. And that's where my problems start, right? That's where then if you want to go to IB then that 30,000 will not cover your kids. Okay. What I am talking about is the general life. Okay. I'm not talking about IBS. I'm not talking about being a Sukhan's life. Okay. I'm not
05 Talking about staying in a manut because the cook who stay in manut they makes five five lakh rupees a a month. Okay. So I'm not talking about that going staying in the Taj. That's a different story. If you're if you're on that segments then this video is not even for you. just skip it, right? But if normal case like I used to go in a school like you can recognize with my English, right? I used to go in a school where the fees was one rupees. One rupees the UPS like in UP there is a small village okay near the Van Sea where we didn't had electricity by 2016. So me my brother used to study in a length. >> Right. So used and that that mitikail that mitikail right keroseline I believe in English >> that we used to get for free from our like government kota okay >> okay so that's where we used to fill it and then one rupees school fee we did
06 Our graduation we did our masters okay and from there what we didn't achieved my brother went to IIT he worked in Google made a lot of money right he's preparing for UPSC now want to be ISPs to change something for the world. I was who was like the first generation of that whole area to be come out from right with one rupees school went to >> took a passport manage at one point of 20 people's team in IT industry with the same English communication with the same everything okay >> so it's not like that IB's guys will be do great and then a government guys will not like most of the ISPs comes from Bihar man okay so so forget about that like I don't buy that BS Yes, like only IB will be give you a great thing.
53 Yeah, maybe like they will be having a better culture. I don't know. I never met with the IB persons, right? But what I know about my generation, what what I know with one rupees school, it depends on the person what you want to achieve. >> Definitely. Yeah. >> Okay. So that's where I was doing argument with my barbie like why you talking about one lakh rupees like send your kids for 10,000 rupees monthly fee and if you have turn 10 two kids like just 20,000 rupees you're still saving 10,000 rupees for your parents' health for your medicals if you want to travel somewhere right and I gave you the minimum basic one lakh rupees believe me the guys whom I'm talking they all moving with 30 lakh 40 lakh husband is making 20 wife is making 30 wife is making 40 husband is making 30 like something. So they are like making four lakh rupees monthly and for them like two to three lakh of four lakh money man is you can live even le life. Yeah, >> right. You can buy a Fortuner as well which is like you have to pay like 30,000 40,000 might be 50,000 monthly.
51 You can still buy that and live a le life in in in Canada. But if you in India but if you talk about >> if you talk about like sending IBS or I need my own train when I travel somewhere I need my jet then again this video is not for you. >> Sure. No, thanks for sharing the details on the expenses and you know some of the other aspects. So if you
15 Look back if you go back in time right is there anything that you would have done differently from your planning or a decision process when you are moving back to India? some things which definitely could be done better. Okay, there was a lot of stuffs which we send as in garbage. Okay, we wasn't aware about that these things can be shipped. Okay, it might be cost some money, right? But today's seeing that people are shipping it the things back. Yeah. >> Okay. We wasn't aware about that like this can be done. >> Okay. So that would be the one thing I would be definitely because a lot of good things was there man like you build the things for eight year 9 year and then you realize oh you have to throw out everything right. So that's the one thing rest I don't regret. I think I my all the decisions was great. I took decisions on right time. things things was good. Yeah. We still miss
16 Canada. Trust me in the summer comes my wife and my heart bits is like oh want to do camping. Okay. Camping we want to go on lakes and sit there for two 2:00 night. Be safe. Right. We don't want to see like like we went to Juu. my office gave me the furlow back in like a month ago. We went to the Ju and man the smell was so bad like an Amitab Bachan house is just front of like how these guys are living here man like how that is even working out right >> but those things we definitely miss right like because as I told right we was traveler we used to travel a lot like 10,000 kilometer on the road going on east coast No Scotia Prince Edward Island lake superior we went ban chess asper with the car right drove from Ontario 5,000 kilometer enjoyed our camping there for 20 days came back again so we definitely miss those things
16 In summer right so that's one thing when comes we say like oh why not just go back again right and someday those kicks trust me it does kicks okay but when things comes and when we look at our balance when we see like financially how stable we are and how soon in like if life gives the chance like in next three four five we will be able to save that much good money like our interest will be start paying for our trips. Yeah. >> Okay. So, we still want to do a lot of things, right? Like we want to go Atlantic, we want to do Alaska. >> We want to go like a lot of Caribbean places on the big cruise. We used to do that. Okay. We miss those things. Trust me, we miss it. Like we miss the cruises. Like like every time we go and look at the cruise, our hearts pumps like anything. Like because when we were in Canada we like book like this like drove till Detroit and Detroit we parks our car take a flight to Miami stay Miami for five six days world's best city I would say Miami it's still I
17 Would say the best city in the world is Miami I've never seen something like that anywhere in the world okay so reach to Miami and then take a cruise for a 7 days 8 days good cost no problem at all come back again we used to go like Disneyland Florida so we miss those things it's not here in India Okay, that's not here. >> And that is the one thing we still thinks like we should be keep achieving it, right? yes, if I made some decisions in better way, I think we would be already started achieving it by this time. Okay? But everything is not in your control. You can't predict everything future what's going to happen, right? so we didn't took some decisions at right time. Okay? And that cost us huge money, right? where we should be today where we should be actually we are hoping for five year before we would be already here today right yeah and that would we start paying our trips cost and everything but that is not happening so we are definitely missing our trips okay we always talk about that like how those
18 Mistakes cost us big okay but when we look at other people's foot today right like we who is already caught into the much deeper situation like I'm talking about in the reference of house right we should sold our house long back we would be made double money than what we saved. >> But then market started going down and then we realized okay now this is the time where we should be considered but we didn't took the decision at right but if that time was taken then things would be much better. Okay. But as I told right some people didn't even sold at that point of time. So there is still a struggle right. Yes. So it it will be remain like that man like we can't predict future right. So but in next five year our main goal is by the time we reach 38 37 we both we should have that much money like rest is the god's hand.
08 >> We can't do much. Okay. But we should have that much money. So if you want to book for a for a whole trip for Alaska for three lakh rupees which will be like 6,000 5,000 USD just do it. >> Okay. So that's our goal which we missed it. we didn't took it in right time and right decisions we want to make it better in the future. >> Yeah. Okay. Makes sense. and then one
33 Last thing. So is there any topic that we haven't covered that you want to bring up or any advice for people who are considering to move back to India? yeah definitely like see guys or girls whoever you are right I know you will be influenced by the people's you'll be influenced by the society similarly people got influenced when they was buying the house in the peacock market for 2022 okay it depends don't get influenced by the things okay look at where you are right now are you getting time for yourself okay there are some person trust me I know some person in Canada who has built a great life. >> Okay. Who had two kids, they have sidu.
19 >> They have couple of houses which they have built but they went early stage and they were investment strategy was sparked. Okay. If you still think you can achieve that and you think the parents is not priority for that for you parents is not there for you maybe they already passed away you don't miss your like rahandan Diwali holi those cultures and you don't hate with Canadian winters right then stay where you are okay it it's completely depends on you don't get influenced by the videos don't get influenced by the things which which is not fit for you like you are already in underwater for 300,000 your house and then you sell it today and you come at and and get broken in Canada as well in India as well right so don't do that just just don't do it right look at that what is priority for >> yes >> okay right so what makes you happy take that decision okay and take that
20 Decision not getting influenced by the things run your numbers put a paper Okay. Don't look at the like earlier example. Oh, CAD will be depreciated. CAD will be appreciated and you know no today's you don't have to be a mathematic science. Just go and chat GPT ask you all the question what you want to do. >> Like this is what money I have I want to put it INR for next 10 year. Okay. How much money it will be? I want to put the save money in Canada on the 3%. how much money it will be if CAD will be at the 15% increase. Do your math guys you guys are great right? You if you have saved 3 cr 5 crone you have done something great in your life. Okay so that's the that's the definitely some guys are still making even $500,000 in CAD. Okay I know someone one of my very close friend he pays like $150,000 just in a taxes each year. Okay >> for them life is great in Canada. Okay.
19 So we can't compare our life with him. My salary was not that great. If I would be keep comparing myself gain in the same dilemma like oh I have to reach on that place maybe I lose what I have today. Okay. So whatever best for you figure it out. Do your numbers. Don't get influenced by the things which will be hurt you in the later. Okay. And based on that you take your decision what is the best fit for you. >> Yeah very well said. I think I know everyone's situation is different. they have to make a decision what's right for them depending on the key priorities. What is your key priority and no place is perfect it's completely fine to stay abroad or India but make an informed decision what makes sense for you for your situation. >> Yeah. So thank you very much >> and if you're in any those situations you still wants to talk about more topics send it over on the comment maybe we can connect again >> and see if someone someone wants to go into the more details right about some things. Yeah, definitely. So, yeah, thank you very much Santo for taking the time and you know talking to us
20 And giving us an update like since last we talked and it's been about an year and really appreciate you adding a little bit more color on the financial planning especially based on the current situation what people are thinking how they should plan their financial assets in terms of moving the money thinking about the houses and so on. so really appreciate you taking the time and talking to us today. >> No problem. Thank you so much. >> Yeah. Thanks.
